Brazilian heavyweight veteran Glover Teixeira signs with the UFC

By: Jamie Penick, MMATorch Editor-in-Chief

The UFC has added yet another heavyweight to their roster, as MMAJunkie.com reports that 32-year-old Glover Teixeira has signed with the organization.

The ten-year veteran brings with him a record of 17-2, including wins in 15 straight fights dating back almost six years. In that time, he's defeated several recognizable names, including Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou, Marvin Eastman, and Ricco Rodriquez, and has stopped 15 of his career opponents as well.

The Brazilian competed five times in 2011, winning all five by stoppage and only leaving the first round one time. He's expected to make his UFC debut sometime early this summer.
